Overview:

Abstract: The present work focuses on the loggia of Uebigau Castle, which maintained as the last part of the original arched halls. In this area an extensive decoration dating back to the original construction time and imitating the facade was discovered. Since an exposure at the present time is not practicable, a conservative concept for the coverage of the surfaces with a thin layer of plaster was developed. In a theoretical work possible facade-designs from the construction time are derived on the basis of evidences and comparative examples.
