Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: Based on an analysis of the specific properties of plywood as painting support medium, an essential part of this study consists in the development of a method for the consolidation of the partly delaminated panels. Practical treatments were the consolidation of detaching paint layers and the cleaning of 16 paintings. The developed methods for the re-adhesion of the plywood supports were carried out on exemplary panels. Finally, it is presented a concept for the prospective storage and presentation.
