Abstract: | Conservation storage and preservation of art and cultural assets are playing an increasingly important role in the archival and museum enviroment. Many institutions are expanding or relocating their collection repositories. The following paper deals with the elaboration of a proposal for the storage of spear-like objects of the ethnological collection of the Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum. For the elaboration of ideal conditions for a modern depot first the the characteristics of the different materials and material groups are outlined. So the conditions on site are examined in more detail. No specific recommendation of a proposal is found, but several, in different ways advantageous and disadvantageous possibilities for the storage of concerning objects are given. |
