The historical part of the work deals with the painting and specific materials of Anton Kolig. As a result of the scientific examinations the applied pigments and binding media were analysed. The main problem in the practical work of conservation and restoration was the completion of the missing parts in the canvas and the retouching on this area. In a kind of Tratteggio – technique this new part could be integrated into the whole painting, but is still slightly to see looking at more closely.
